Zara Janjua is an award-winning broadcast multi-hyphenate, Woman of the Future finalist and Freelancer of the Year 2023. The TV, radio and podcast presenter works for BBC, ITV and Channel 4 shows, she writes for The Guardian, reports for The New York Times and is a columnist for The Sun newspaper.
A comedy writer and performer, she regularly performs on BBC comedy and panel shows and has secured ten commissions for screenwriting on upcoming projects. Zara is a TV producer for some of the UK’s biggest shows including This Morning on ITV. She presents Sunday Mornings on BBC Radio and writes political satire for BBC Radio’s Noising Up show.
Zara sits on the Ethnicity Advisory Council for NatWest and is an advocate for women in business. Every year she undertakes a humanitarian film project with her production company Scottistani. She has documented the lives of marginalised and disabled women in Nepal, followed grieving parents to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and recently filmed literacy projects in Guatemala. Zara is a public speaker and charity ambassador, she has been invited to speak all over the world about her philanthropic project, most recently delivering a keynote in Melbourne at The Rotary International Conference 2023 .
